Accessibility

We build this to be usable with a keyboard, a screen reader, a magnifier or none of them. This page says what we have measured, what still falls short, and how to tell us when something blocks you.

Where we stand

boring2exciting aims at WCAG 2.2 level AA. We believe the site meets it, with the exceptions listed below. This is our own assessment, measured in a browser rather than certified by an outside auditor.

What we have measured

• Contrast. Every visible text run on all four pages is checked against its real background, in both themes: 1,207 runs per theme and 2,414 in total, none of them below the threshold. The weakest body text measures 4.63:1 against a required 4.5:1, and the weakest large text 3.30:1 against a required 3:1. A further 80 runs cannot be measured this way and are listed below rather than counted as passes. Measured on 7 September 2026 with tools/check_contrast.py in this site's own repository, so the figures can be produced again rather than taken on trust.
• Touch targets. On a touch screen every control in the studio and the header is at least 44 pixels tall — the moods, the formats, the engine switch, the attach button, the language and theme buttons and the menu.
• Keyboard. Walked with the tab key: the skip link comes first, then the header, then the studio in the order things appear on screen. Nothing is unreachable, nothing traps focus, and every stop shows where it is — the writing box shows it by lighting its whole frame rather than the field itself.
• Motion. The moving background, the reveals and the button effects all stop when your system asks for reduced motion. Nothing important is told only through movement.
• Zoom and reflow. At 320 CSS pixels wide, which is what 400% zoom on a laptop gives you, the site reflows to a single column with no sideways scrolling.
• Structure. One main landmark per page, headings in order, labels on every field, and language declared per page so a screen reader pronounces it correctly.

Known gaps

• The pages we generate are not covered by this statement. They are written by an AI model from your material, and their markup, colour and motion vary every time. We instruct the model to write semantic HTML, label its graphics and keep 4.5:1 contrast, and we open every page in a browser before showing it to you. One of those instructions is now enforced rather than asked for: a page that animates by itself and carries no reduced-motion rule is rejected and another model is asked instead. The rest are still instructions, so we cannot promise a generated page meets AA. Check anything you intend to publish.
• The moving background on the first screen is decorative. It is disabled under reduced motion, but there is no separate switch for it yet.
• Eighty text runs are checked by eye, not by the tool. Text painted as a gradient, and text sitting on one — the headline's bright half, the PRO badges, the “Best value” ribbon and the numbers on the example tiles — have no single background colour to measure against, so the audit reports them instead of scoring them. They are white or near-white on saturated colour and we believe they pass, but we have not put a number on them and we do not claim one.
• No independent audit has been carried out, and we have not tested with every combination of screen reader and browser. Our testing is automated plus manual keyboard walks.
• Sign-in happens on accounts.castomo.com, a page this statement does not cover.

Assistive technology we test with

Keyboard only; VoiceOver on macOS and iOS; browser zoom to 400%; forced dark and light themes; and reduced-motion settings. We test in current Chrome, Safari and Firefox.

Tell us when something blocks you

Write to hello@castomo.com with the page, what you were trying to do, and the browser or assistive technology you use. We answer within five working days, and we treat a barrier report as a bug rather than a request.

If our answer does not satisfy you, you may complain to your national enforcement body. In Poland this is the President of the Personal Data Protection Office for data matters, and the market surveillance authority designated under the European Accessibility Act for accessibility of services.

How this page is kept honest

The numbers above come from an automated check we run against the built site: it walks every element, composites the real foreground and background colours through every transparent layer, and reports anything under the threshold. When it reports a failure we fix the site rather than soften the claim — the last such fix, on 6 September 2026, was the filled buttons in the light theme, which sat at 3.68:1.
